The National Theatre consists of the institutions Koninklijke Schouwburg, Theater aan het Spui, Zaal 3 and the companies The National Theatre (HNT) and HNTjong. During the Spotlight Festival, our activities take place in the Koninklijke Schouwburg. Once built as a palace, the Koninklijke Schouwburg has served as a theater since 1804. Zaal 3 focuses on plays and theatre, you can also come to us for comedy, cabaret, youth performances and music.
